HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP pulled over a man with $12,000 in outstanding fines on March 4.

Police stopped the 50-year-old man from Sheshatshiu at approximately 3 a.m. on Hamilton River Road and discovered he was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s licence. RCMP then seized and impounded the vehicle.

Considering the high amount of outstanding fines, RCMP said, they gave the driver an appearance notice compelling him to attend court to answer to a charge of driving while suspended.
