LORD'S COVE, N.L. — St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Lord's Cove sustained some damage at the hands of mother nature during high winds early morning on Friday, Jan. 17.

"A fair amount of siding blew off the front of the church," explained Pat Lundrigan, who oversees the building. "I'm going to leave it for a little while and as soon as I get the siding and the foam-core, well then I'll look for volunteers. I don't think I'll have any trouble there to get volunteers to do the work."

He estimates materials will cost between $600 to $1,000, and hopes volunteer support will eliminate additional labour costs.

Lundrigan learned about the condition of the building when someone sent him a picture of the church on Saturday asking if the damage was new.
