PORT SAUNDERS, N.L. — An 83-year-old man is dead as a result of a snowmobile collision on Route 430 in Flowers Cove.
The Port Saunders RCMP was dispatched to ther motor vehicle collision involving a snowmobile and a truck at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
According to the police, the snowmobiler was attempting to cross the highway when it collided with a pickup truck.
The operator of the snowmobile was taken for emergency medical attention via ambulance, but died shortly after the collision.
RCMP confirmed the man was from Flowers Cove.
The investigation is ongoing.
