A 37-year-old man died at the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Sunday, Oct. 25 near Trout River.
The Rocky Harbour RCMP responded to the scene at about 9:30 a.m.
The deceased man had been ejected from the vehicle. A second occupant, a 36-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Rocky Harbour for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither of the men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
Rocky Harbour police were assisted at the scene by members from the traffic services west division, and the RCMP’s senior collision analyst also attended the scene. The Trout River Volunteer Fire Department and Parks Canada wardens also provided assistance.
Police say the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
