New Roman Catholic bishop to be installed in Corner Brook Thursday

Father Bart van Roijen will be ordained and installed as the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador Thursday.

The installation ceremony will be held at the Roman Catholic Cathedral on Mount Bernard Avenue in Corner Brook at 7 p.m.

Van Roijen was recently appointed to the diocese from his previous post in Nelson, British Columbia.

All are welcome to attend the ceremony and the public reception that follows at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.
