NL Power is reporting an outage in Upper Island Cove and Bryants Cove, which started just after 11 a.m. They say 191 customers are impacted and there is no estimate on when it will be fixed. At this time Victoria is also reporting an outage. It now joins the list of places around the province without power, including Mount Pearl, parts of the Burin Peninsula and Grand Falls-Windsor.
The Town of Upper Island Cove announced on it's Facebook page yesterday they would be setting up a warming station at St. Andrews Club is needed. If people need assistance they should call 709-589-2000 or 911.
Several other communities have set up warming stations if the power goes.
