BAY ROBERTS, N.L. — The Bay Roberts Winter Carnival starts today, Feb. 7 but due to concerns about weather all outdoor events have been cancelled. The Town of Bay Roberts announced the cancellation just after 1 p.m. and said every attempt to reschedule will be made, especially for the family fun day planned for Sunday.
In addition to the outdoor events being cancelled, the Special Olympics bowling and pizza party scheduled for 5 p.m. today has been cancelled.
As of 2 p.m. Feb. 7 these events are still going ahead:

Family Bowling, Old Mill Fun Centre, 6-9 p.m.
Mooseburgers, Kelly’s Landing -7 p.m.
DJ Rod, West Side Charlies, 11 p.m.
Feb. 8
Double 8 Ball Pool Tournament, West Side Charlies, 1 p.m.
Crib Tournament, Baccalieu Trail Brewing Company, 2.p.m.
Kevin Parsons, Royal Canadian Legion, 4-7 p.m.
Free Pool, Kelly Landing
DJ Hynesee, West Side Charlies, 11 p.m.
Feb. 9
Family Skate, Bay Arena, 6 p.m.
