HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — A passenger on an American Airlines flight is in custody in Happy Valley-Goose Bay following an alleged incident on a flight.

Edward John A. Myhill of London, England, is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay today, Aug. 14 to answer to charges laid following his removal from a flight yesterday.

The flight was enroute from Heathrow to Chicago and was diverted to Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Myhill is facing five charges, including allegedly assaulting and threatening a flight attendant.

Two of the charges are under the Aeronautics Act, engaging in activity which endangered the safety of a flight or persons on board and engaging in activity which endangered the safety of a flight or persons on board by lessening the flight crew’s ability to perform their duties.
