CORNER BROOK, N.L. — Corner Brook RNC apprehended a man wanted on multiple charges with the assistance of its K9 unit Wednesday evening.

The police said they received information that a male wanted by police was located in the Elizabeth Street area.

RNC officers and K9 Police Dog Services attended the area and the male fled on foot.

The male was apprehended without incident in a wooded area near Pratt Street with the help of the polie dog and its handler.

The 37-year-old man was wanted on two warrants of arrest for two counts of theft, fraud and three counts of failure to appear in court.

He remains in custody and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
