RUSHOON, N.L. — For the second day in the row, driving conditions on the Burin Peninsula have been dangerous.
The RCMP issued a news release at 12:08 p.m. warning of rough weather north of Marystown. They were at the scene of a motor vehicle collision on the Burin Peninsula Highway near Rushoon at the time.
"Road conditions are poor with heavy drifting snow and whiteout conditions between Rushoon and Red Harbour hill," the release states.
Police are asking motorists to reduce their speed, drive with caution and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.
