DEER LAKE, N.L. — Over the next month and half, motorists on the west coast can expect to see an increase in police activity.
RCMP traffic services west will be conducting checkpoints and enforcement activities until Dec. 1.
While the force regularly conducts enforcement on the province’s roadways, specific checkpoints and targeted activities provide more opportunities to educate the public and enhance safety.
This initiative will focus on vehicle compliance, including having valid insurance and registration, and the overall safety and road worthiness of the vehicle. Officer will continue to enforce impaired driving, distracted driving, seatbelt and aggressive driving violations.
