WABUSH, N.L. — A 38-year-old Wabush man was charged with impaired driving of a snowmobile on Sunday night. RNC said they picked up the man after allegedly observing him driving without a helmet on Bowater Drive in Wabush.

Police said he was located a short time later at a residence in the area and, subsequent to an investigation, was placed under arrest.

He is being charged with impaired operation and impaired operation over 80 mg, and the snowmobile was seized. The man has been released to appear in provincial court.
