DEER LAKE, N.L. — Tammy Priddle will start a new position Monday as the president and chief executive officer of Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority.
In a prepared release, Dean Porter, chair of the Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority board of directors, said the organization searched nationally for a new leader to guide the airport through its next phase of growth.
Priddle has 25 years’ experience working in the public sector and holds a master’s in public administration management degree from Dalhousie University.
Porter said Priddle impressed the board with her visionary thinking, strategic planning and proven record of developing relationships with government, regulatory bodies, staff and management, clients and communities. He said she has demonstrated the ability to engage with key stakeholders and foster a positive work environment and culture.
The chair said the board was happy to find a local executive leader with energy and enthusiasm to continue with the pursuit of its corporate goals. Those aims, he added, include maintaining a high level of passenger service while operating as a good community citizen.
Priddle was not made available for an interview.
Porter thanked Jamie Schwartz, outgoing president and chief executive officer, for his outstanding guidance and leadership of the airport for the past 25 years and wished him well in his retirement.
