CORNER BROOK, N.L. — The Corner Brook RNC is investigating an armed robbery that took place in the city on Wednesday night.
At 9:55 p.m., the RNC’s patrol services, police dog services and forensic identification section responded to a downtown business.
A man, wearing a medical a mask, entered the licensed establishment on Broadway and approached the staff member. He presented a knife and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money he fled the area on foot.
Police say there were no injuries during the incident.
The man is believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s and is described as being five feet, nine inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark hoodie, grey pants and dark shoes.
