HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — The Canadian Army is asking people to strictly adhere to the snowmobile trails traversing the training area on 5 Wing Goose Bay over the coming weeks.

The public affairs branch of 5 Wing Goose Bay sent out a release that winter training will take place in the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area from Feb. 24 to March 6.

Military personnel from 37 Canadian Brigade Group, the United States Army and Polish Army will be conducting winter warfare survival training courses and Light Over Snow Vehicle (snowmobile) courses from Feb. 24-29 and on March 1-6 Exercise Northern Sojourn 2020 will take place.

Due to the size and the nature of the training trails may be busier and travellers may see soldiers carrying weapons, the release said.
