SHESHATSHIU, N.L. — A woman who was reported missing from Sheshatshiu, Labrador, was found safe after a two-and-a-half-hour search. According to the RCMP, the woman was reported as missing at 8 pm on June 17 and was found at a 10:30 p.m.
“Some search efforts were conducted and the woman returned to her home on her own,” said an RCMP spokesperson in a written statement. “Nothing criminal and the investigation is concluded.”
At least two North West River residents assisted with the search in boat. One man from the area said he and a friend searched the shoreline between the “sawmill” area and up to the rapids, after the woman was reported missing.
