Fire destroyed a Quirpon home, on the Great Northern Peninsula, early Thursday afternoon.
The NSHL (Noddy Bay, Straitsview, Hay Cove and L’Anse aux Meadows) Fire Department responded to the call and received back-up support from the St. Lunaire-Griquet Fire Department.
Firefighters were able to put out the blaze after battling it for a couple hours, but the home had burned to the ground.
The homeowners were out of town at the time of the fire and no one was harmed.
St. Anthony RCMP were also on the scene.
