As the west coast of the island cleans up after the wild weather conditions and flooding, the metro area on the Avalon will continue to see warmer-than-normal temperatures, at least until later today (Sunday). It’s about 10 C at 7:30 a.m.
Showers or drizzle with fog patches are forecast by Evironment Canada for the morning with winds gusting to 60 km/h. Winds are expected to die down this afternoon, and temperatures will fall to about 4C.
Tonight things will get cooler with rain showers changing to ice pellets or freezing drizzle after midnight. Rainfall amount of 5 mm is expected. Winds will shift to north, 20 km/h tonight. Temperatures will dip to -4 or -5C overnight.
For Monday, expect flurries with a risk of freezing drizzle. Temperatures will dip to -5C.
