Massive theft of unbottled iceberg water reported in Port Union

PORT UNION, N.L. —

Bonavista RCMP is on the lookout for whoever was brazen enough to steal a massive amount of iceberg water from a warehouse in Port Union.

According to a news release issued Wednesday, Feb. 13, the theft likely happened sometime between Friday, Feb. 8 and Monday, Feb. 11.

The water had not been bottled and was taken from inside the building. Police estimate the volume of water stolen would fill a tractor trailer tanker. It’s estimated market value is between $9,000 and $12,000.
