About 25 protesters took to the steps of the Confederation Building on Thursday to try to put a halt to the Eagle Ridge Gold Mine development north of the Avalon Wilderness Reserve. Organizer Mike Cooze led Thursday’s protest, calling for an environmental assessment for an access road leading to the development site.
