RNC release images of suspect in St. John’s and Mount Pearl armed robberies

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary wants the public’s help in identifying a man believed to be responsible for two armed robberies in the metro region last month.

He fled the store empty-handed before police arrived.The first robbery occurred just before midnight at the Esso gas bar on Park Avenue in Mount Pearl near. The suspect, armed with an undisclosed weapon, entered the store and demanded cash and tobacco products. 

A short time later, the same suspect entered the Irving station at 36 Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s. he made away with a quantity of cash and tobacco products before RNC officers arrived on the scene.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s or 40s with a dirty blonde or grey goatee. He was wearing a grey/green puffy winter coat and a black toque. 

Anyone with information on either of these robberies is asked to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can be provided anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at nlcrimestoppers.com.
