Police find stolen property from condo, still looking for couple

In a Facebook post Friday the RNC provided an update to a release issued Thursday in asking for the public’s help to find a couple who stole property from a St. John’s condo they had leased.

“We're very excited to update you that investigators have located the stolen property in Quebec City! We're working with local police in Quebec to account for all of the items and get the property back to the owner. The pair has not yet been arrested and are still wanted,” the post said.

In the earlier release the police said the theft was significant.

Dominic Delisle, 31, and Sarah Daneault, 33, are wanted on theft of items valued at greater than $30,000 from the condo they rented in January. The theft, reported in Feb. 4, saw the couple take all of the furnishings from the condo except for the dishwasher, washer and dryer.

Investigators obtained CCTV footage that showed the pair moving the items into a moving truck on Jan. 29 . 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. The items were recovered in a storage locker in Quebec with the help of Quebec investigators.

Arrest warrants have been issued for both individuals on charges that include theft over $5,000, impersonation with intent and uttering a forged document for Delisle, who also goes by the alias Nicholas Sigouin and Daneault is wanted on a single charge of theft over $5,000.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Delisle or Daneaultis asked to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
