The temperature is sitting at the freezing mark and overnight snow is making for sloppy conditions in the metro region this morning at 6 a.m.

Light snow is falling sporadically, with about 2 centimetres expected, and temperatures are expected to fall throughout the day to about -7C this afternoon.

Snow is likely to decrease as the day goes on with sunny periods later in the day. Winds are west 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming northwest 40 gusting to 70 this morning.

Tonight, expect a few clouds. Winds northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h. Temps will dip to -14C. Wind chill will make it feel like – 25C.
