SPRINGDALE, NL — A 29-year-old man died at the scene of a single vehicle accident between South Brook and Springdale junction early this morning.
At about 2:30 a.m., the Springdale Royal Canadian Mounted Police responded to the accident. Police are reporting a west-bound vehicle left the road and rolled over an embankment.
No information was provided as to the identity of the driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release issued Tuesday afternoon.
The Springdale fire department was the first to respond to the scene and an RCMP collision analyst also responded.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
