St. John’s, N.L. — A traffic safety stop in the downtown area of St. John’s 10:30 Saturday morning resulted in a 58-year-old man being issued summary offence tickets for operating an unregistered vehicle, operating without valid insurance, and operating with an expired license. His vehicle was impounded.

At 1:30 p.m. police stopped a 25-year-old woman in the west end of St. John’s. She was issued summary offence tickets for driving while her licence was suspended and operating a vehicle without valid insurance. The vehicle was impounded.

About 8 p.m. police responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the west end of the city. A 61-year-old man was charged for refusing to provide a breath sample. He was released to appear in provincial court at a later date.
