NAIN, NL – An internet and telephone outage is affecting Nain today, Jan. 23, according to the RCMP.

There are presently no telephone calls coming into the area, a news release stated. Partial service is available within the community, however.

Residents seeking police assistance are asked to contact Nain detachment by phone or in person.

The problem appears to be a power issue at the Bell Aliant's local shed, and technicians are headed there to investigate.
