Thirteen charges laid following June 10 Come by Chance standoff

COME BY CHANCE, N.L. – Charges have been laid in relation to a four-hour standoff between RCMP and a man who had barricaded himself in a Come by Chance home on June 10.

Matthew Temple, 27, is facing 13 charges, including two assault with a weapon charges and eight counts of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.

Temple also faces charges of uttering threats and mischief to property.

He is currently being held at the Waterford Hospital in St. John’s.

No court dates have been set.
