Deer Lake, N.L. — Two youth — one from Deer Lake and the other from Pasadena — have been charged after they allegedly used a stolen vehicle to smash into a local school over the weekend.

Shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday, Deer Lake RCMP received a report of extensive damage to Pasadena Academy.

The investigation revealed a stolen pickup truck was used to ram the front entrance to the school. The stolen truck was located a short time later in Deer Lake.

The youths face multiple charges, including mischief over $5,000 for damaging to the school, theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000 and mischief under $5,000 for damage to the vehicle.

Both are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
