RNC continuing to investigate Harbour Drive death

The RNC’s major crime unit is investigating the sudden death of a 57-year-old C.B.S. man on Harbour Drive in St. John’s Monday afternoon.
The man fell from the sixth floor of the Sonco Parking garage on Clift’s-Baird’s Cove just before 2 p.m.
Members of the RNC responded along with paramedics from Eastern Health who pronounced the man deceased. 
The RNC says the circumstances around thie death do not appear to be suspicious in nature. 
The identity of the deceased person will not be released.
The investigation is ongoing and investigators are interested in speaking with any witnesses who were in the area at the time and saw the man fall.

Man tragically falls to his death from Atlantic Place

Police are examining surveillance camera footage in an effort to confirm what happened

Police are still on the scene outside Atlantic Place in downtown St. John's, where they say a man fell from the sixth storey to his death earlier this afternoon.
Police have yet to confirm the identity of the man, whom witnesses say was lying visibly and seriously injured and heavily bleeding on Harbour Drive when paramedics and police arrived shortly before 2 p.m.
Police say they are continuing their investigation to confirm exactly what happened, and are speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance camera footage.
The section of Harbour Drive between Baird's Cove and Ayre's Cove remains closed to traffic while police investigate.
Atlantic Place houses a number of businesses, offices and the provincial court.

Harbour Drive incident closes section of downtown street

The RNC has a portion of Harbour Drive closed in downtown St. John’s — directly behind Atlantic Place — this afternoon amid reports that a person had jumped from some part of the building.

The road is closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Eastern Health paramedics are on the scene tending to a person on the ground.

No other details are available at this time but some bystanders say they saw a person lying on the ground bleeding.

An RNC patrol unit and officers are carrying out an investigation.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
