The OPP on Monday announced in a tweet that two teenage girls missing since Thursday in Algonquin Park had been located safe.
On the weekend, a major search was launched for Marta Malek and Maya Mirota, both 16 and from the Kitchener area.

There had been a “tremendous” response to appeals for help with a large number of calls and messages reporting potential sightings, police said.
Described as experienced campers equipped with a tent and some limited supplies, the teens, who were part of a group camping in the park, had not been seen since Thursday morning. They were reported missing Friday night.
