Ada Murphy

MURPHY Ada of Cupids, Newfoundland Age 84 Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020, at home in Dartmouth, NS, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Tom; parents, Charles and Enid Ford; brother, Gordon (Daphne) Ford; parents in law, Michael and Margaret Murphy and sister in law, Regina (Joseph) O’Keefe. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters, Michelle (Devin) LeClaire, Annette (John Gosse), Dena and son, Neil; sisters, Iris Ford and Marie (Ray) Peddle; her six grandchildren whom she loved very much, Rebecca, Samantha, Eryn, Megan, Jack, and Grayson. As well as many nieces, nephews, and extended Ford and Murphy families that she spoke about often. Ada was a beautiful, strong, and loving woman, who lived her life with courage, grace, and unbreakable spirit. She treasured her family above all else and it is with them she always wanted to be. She was an extraordinary person with a zest for life, was deeply loved, and will be dearly missed by all. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. The Family would like to thank Dr. Younis and her oncology nurse, Katelyn, for their compassionate care, and the Palliative Support Team at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Center in Halifax. Due to COVID-19 Restrictions a Funeral Service will be held in Dartmouth and Interment and Celebration of Life to be held in Newfoundland at a later date.
