Agnes Margaret Whelan

WHELAN Agnes Margaret “Aggie” (nee Wiseman) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Aggie Whelan on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Predeceased by her father John Wiseman; sister Theresa Wiseman; parents-in-law: Michael and Joyce Whelan; brothers-in-law: Michael Whelan and Keith Mclean and nephew Barry Mclean. Leaving with loving memories her children: Gary (Jennifer) Whelan and Sheneena (Steven) Saunders and their father Gary Whelan Sr.; the loves of her life Mollie and Thea and her adored mother Sue (Bernie) Hedderson. Also leaving to mourn her siblings: Linda (Jamie) Schreiter, Marie (Wayne) Heath, Gerard (Alicia) Wiseman, Johnny (Lesley) Wiseman, and Danielle (Glen Spurgeon) Wiseman; nieces and nephews: Christopher, Brandon, Luke, Angela, Jaide, Morgan, Paige, Dylan, Dallas, Jack and Reid; step - brother and step - sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a large circle of friends. Aggie will also be greatly missed by her work family and clients at the Hair Strand and Spa. Aggie was somebody who got the most out of life, when you asked for her opinion you better be ready for what the response would be. It was always honest and sincere. Aggie was open to giving everyone a chance, she was incredibly active and productive she always made the most out of everyday through her positivity and enthusiasm. At Aggie’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Thursday, November 14 and Friday, November 15 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Peter’s Parish, Ashford Drive. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Aggie’s memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or The Gathering Place.
