CORRIGAN Albert Patrick July 4th 1938 - February 14th 2021 Age 82 The gates of Heaven were opened wide as Jerome rushed to welcome his dad and best friend Albert with loving arms. Albert passed peacefully away at St. Clares Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday February 14th. Albert leaves behind a large family to celebrate his life. His devoted and loving wife of 60+ years, Genevieve (O’Leary) Corrigan, 2 Sons: Wayne (Aurora) and Abby. 5 Daughters: Judy Hanlon (Jerome); Linda Hearn (John); Lorraine Grace (Tom); Beverly (Gerard Puddister); Debbie Mongiat (Rob) 16 Precious grandchildren: Shannon (Dennis) and Michael, Kimberly (Albert) and Robert (Katie), April Lynn (Tony), Tyler and AJ; Jennifer, Daniel, Gabriella and Evie, Georgina (Hish) and Bradley (Jessica) (father George); Roberto, Victoria, devoted granddaughter Amanda (Danhie) who never missed a day to phone “poppy woppy" ; 8 precious great-grandchildren: Samantha, Emily, Ava, RJ, Ryder, Marcus, Lacy and Kylie. 1 beautiful great-greatgranddaughter Scarlet, all of whom poppy loved unconditionally. Special friend and brother Joe, Gerard (Linda); Leonard (Shirley); Brendon; Harold (Joyce); sisters Sarah Saunders, Patsy Ezekiel (Paddy); Gloria Drohan and Kay Whelan; Special family member Irena Chermakova; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Special friends John and Bridget Burton and Rickert family. As well as his loyal companion, Brady. During Albert’s hospital stay we were blessed to have extra love and support. A special thank you to Dr. Dana Butler and her team at St. Clare’s, Carmel Noel, Diane Whelan and Heather Murphy, we are forever grateful for all you did. To the nursing staff of 7 West, your professionalism coupled with endless kindness and compassion made his journey a little less painful; thank you ! Father Melvin, Father Roche and Sister Betty Morrisey, your visits, conversations and prayers gave a sense of peace knowing that Albert would be at rest and with his family who have predeceased him especially his parents Alice and John Corrigan and other special members of the Corrigan and O’Leary family. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday April 14 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A service to celebrate Albert’s life will take place on Thursday April 15th at 2:00 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue.
