Annie Squires (nee Whalen)

Passed peacefully away in her 80th year January 16, 2019 at the Health Science Centre, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Squires; brother Clarence Whalen; and sister Nellie Brace. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Christopher (Cynthia), Douglas (Susan) and Lisa McFarlane (Nicholas); as well as her precious grandchildren: Rebecca and Jessica Squires, Stephen and Katherine Squires and Colin, Kathleen and Tara McFarlane. Annie is survived by her brothers: Norman (Jean) Whalen, James (Jane) Whalen, Ford (Shirley) Whalen; and sister Glenis Whalen; as well as sisters-in-law: Judy Whalen, Vera Whalen, Vivian Squires and Maureen Roberts; precious sister-in-law Loretta (Donald) Hart; and close special friends: Lila and Harold Foley; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel at 2 pm on Monday, January 21, 2019. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date.
