Audrey Ivimey

Audrey Ivimey
IVIMEY Audrey (née Trickett) Passed away peacefully on March 23, 2020, in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Audrey was born in 1928 in Spaniard's Bay, Newfoundland to Joseph and Patience Trickett and was raised in Brigus with her siblings David, Phyllis, William, Calvin and Ruth. She remained a proud Newfoundlander all her life. At age 17, she began working for the post-war government of Newfoundland. Later, she worked in business administration at the Faculty of Medicine at Queen's University for over 20 years before retiring in 1993. Audrey married John Bramwell Ivimey in 1954; together, they created a loving home for their many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her patience and kindness, her intelligence, and for her strong desire to feed anybody who stepped into her home. Audrey was a special aunt to the Loders, Wroblewskis and Taylors - whose families were touched by the early loss of a beloved parent. She was a caring sister-in-law and aunt to the Hiscock and Trickett families. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers, and sister, Phyllis, her husband John Bramwell (2016), and her great-grandchild, Westen (2017). She leaves behind many nieces and nephews; her sister, Ruth Hiscock (Boyd); sister-in-law, Shirley Trickett; her children Fred (Sharon), Ruth (Doug), Bill (Judy), Jeff (Ellen), Lori (Shawn), Donna (Dan), and Robert (Peelu), her grandchildren Kai (Maddee), Calvin (Faith), Michelle (Jesse), Candice (Alex), Vanessa (Drew), Lilly (Scott), Jacquelyn, Danica, John (Brittany), Stuart (Michelle), Kenny (Andrea), Bobby, Arjun, Emma (Isaac), Maya, and Audrey; her great-grandchildren Haylie, Riley, Carson, Ryder, Zinnia, Nyla, and Ivy; and her best friend, Grace George. She will be missed by them all. The family extends its deepest gratitude to mom's family physician, Dr. Andy Ross, for his care and compassion. We also thank the personal support workers and nurses who helped care for our precious mom during her final weeks. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home. The family will hold a private memorial event at a later date. Donations in Audrey's memory can be made to the charity of your choice. Online condolences www.reidfuneralhome.com
