Bernice Soper

SOPER Bernice (nee Driscoll) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 16th, 2020 at the Health Science Center, Bernice Soper age 78 years. Predeceased by her husband Ronald Soper (1997); parents Norman and Daisy Driscoll; sisters: Loretta, Ada, Millicent and Geraldine; brothers: Douglas and Bert. Leaving behind with loving memories her children: Scott (Dana), Claude (Bernice), Christina, Raynette (Darryl); nine grandchildren whom she adored: Crystal, Geoffrey (Amanda), Erin, Spencer, Jordan, Brady, Sarah, Emily, and Riley; two precious great grandsons: Austin and Grayson; sisters-in-law: Sybil Driscoll, Diane Sullivan (Mike) and Della Soper, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the Health Science Centre and Heritage Square Retirement Home for the care and compassion they’ve shown to mom during her stay with them. Bernice was an active member of the Girl Guides and Woman’s Institute and a long-time member of Gower Street United Church UCW. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, Feb. 18th and Wednesday, Feb. 19th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will take place at Gower Street United Church on Thursday, Feb 20th at 2pm, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
