Bridget Coombs (nee Whalen-Lawlor)

Passed peacefully away at The Miller Centre on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, Bridget Coombs, age 79 years. Predeceased by her loving husband, Cyril; son Gerry; daughter Patricia; brothers and sisters: Mary, Jim, Ned (Edward), Joan, Benedict and special friend Loyd Gosse. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her son Pat (Colleen), grandchildren; Jared and Gerry and one great-grandson Gerry Jr.; her brothers, Richard (Ann) and Pat Whalen; sister Nora Sinclair; best friend Ann Coombs and many other friends including Marg, Violet, Jenny and many more; a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family would like to send a special Thank You to her home-care workers: Linda Perry, Margie Cave, Shirley Dean as well as social worker: Lorna Lawlor (who gave so much help and support during Bridget’s care); Dr. McGary of Trepassey, as well as Clarence Molloy and the ambulance drivers who cared for Bridget during many trips to and from the hospital. Visitation to take place at Faheys Funeral Home in Trepassey, Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 2-9pm with funeral services to follow on Friday, December 21st at 2:00, Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove South. We had a wonderful Aunt, Mom, Sister and Friend, One who never really grew old, Always a smile and helping hand, And a heart made of gold.
