DOOLEY Carmel Theresa (nee Maloney) 1943 - 2020 Passed peacefully away on Wednesday July, 29, 2020 surrounded by her loving Daughter Michelle, Sister Bernadette, and Cousin Rowena; at the Palliative Care unit, Dr. LA. Miller Centre. Carmel Theresa Dooley (nee Maloney), aged 76. Predeceased by her loving husband William Frances Dooley, and teenage son Clinton; parents Alexander and Gertrude (Scott) Maloney; sisters Veronica (Art) Hearn, Elizabeth Shivers, nephew Darryl; and extended family members of the Dooley, Evans, Rose, English, Burke, Maloney, Shivers, Hearn, and Putt families. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter and best friend Michelle (Christopher) Dooley-Kirby, her sister Bernadette Maloney, brother Howard Maloney. Special friend David O'Brien, cousin and best friend Rowena Williams; best friends Sheila, Ann, Lorraine, Jeannie, Maureen, Mary, Daphne, Kay; along with a very large group of treasured and wonderful friends; especially those from the "Walk on Water" group, and the ladies at the St. Luke's Cottages. Also leaving to mourn the Dooley and Maloney families, her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to all of those who wrote her special messages, your calls and visits; for dropping off food, sitting with mom as her condition worsened, or helped in any way during this difficult time. Also, a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the palliative care unit, of the Miller Centre. To Dr. Jonathan Greenland, of the Cancer Clinic; mom's GP Dr. Elizabeth Banister, including the community nurse, Kelley Collins; and homecare worker Brenda. All of your compassion, professionalism and care, made all the difference; and for that we will be eternally grateful. Resting at Barretts Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Cremation to take place, but due to Covid, a private funeral service will take place at a later date. Mom lived a full and happy life; and savored every opportunity, to enjoy her life to the fullest!
