Carrie Mary Collins

Collins Carrie Mary Passed suddenly and peacefully away in the presence of her devoted and loving family at the Health Science Center on January 23, 2020 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband Gerald; parents Marion and Patrick Raymond; sisters Mary Anthony and Florence Howlett and brothers John Raymond, Tim Raymond and Vince Raymond. Leaving to mourn her daughters Patsy (Eddie Hynes), Judy (Lorne Drake) and Toni (Jason Simms); sons Carl (Denise Redden), Leonard (Danette Collins) and John (Bonnie Naherniak); grandchildren Leslie (Matthew), Stephen (Garrett), Katy (Esteban ), Ryan (Stephanie), Michael (Emily), Corey, Danielle (Eric), Jonathan (Kerry), Kayla (Stephen), Chelsea (Colton), Emily ( Alex) and Jayden (Claire); great grandchildren Lexi, Logan, Greyson, Jameson and Ava; sisters Madeline Brownlee (Bob), Angela Lawlor and brothers Lar ( Betty ) and Tony (Linda); sister–in–law Josephine Raymond and her roommate at St. Patrick's for the past 3 years Marion Butler. As well as a large circle of relatives and friends and her furry companion Lily. A heartfelt thank you to the staff, RNs, LPNs and PCAs of 2 North (as well as those on other floors who would visit her) at St Patrick’s Mercy Home. She loved each and every one of you and never stopped singing your praises and rightfully so. You are proof there are angels on earth. A very special thank you to Liz Carew and Julie Geehan at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the joy, laughter and shenanigans you brought to her life and the comfort that brought to ours. For that we are forever grateful. She loved you like family. It was impossible to be in moms company and leave without a smile on your face and a candy in your pocket. Her joy, humour and zest for life was infectious. We will miss her every day. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Wednesday January 29 and Thursday, January 30 from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Kevin’s Church on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery, Goulds. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation.
