Catherine Ellen Smith (nee O'Toole)

SMITH Catherine Ellen (nee O’Toole) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Catherine after a lengthy illness in the presence of her loving family on August 16, 2018. Predeceased by her father, Felix O’Toole and her parents In-Law, William and Elizabeth Smith. Catherine was 63 years old and leaves to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 29 years, Anthony (Tony); mother Theresa O’Toole; siblings: Brian (Patricia); Rosemary (Dave) Tracey; Paul (Linda); Terry (Pam); and Claudette (Mike) Learning. Siblings-in-law: Randy (Andrea); Rick (Pam); Ken (Pauline); Shawn (Susan) and Sherry. Also, a large number of nieces and nephews. She lived for and deeply loved all her family and friends. We would like to acknowledge the doctors, nurses, and staff of the ICU at both Health Sciences Centre and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, for their care and compassion shown towards Catherine during her long stay. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 1045 Topsail Road, on Saturday August 18 and Sunday August 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday August 20 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Catholic Church.
