KENNY Charles B. May 3, 1931 - February 11, 2020 Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 with his son and daughter at his side, Charles B. Kenny of Avondale, formally of Kitchuses, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Mary A. Kenny (nee Furey) who passed away on December 12, 2012, his parents, Charles & Margaret Kenny of Kitchuses, parents-inlaw, Fredrick and Catherine Furey of Avondale, brothers: David and Richard Kenny. Sisters: Helen and Florence Kenny, Margaret Terry (Luke deceased), Mary Lane (John deceased), Madonna Trask (William deceased). Left with loving memories are his son Charlie Kenny (Heather England) and daughter Cathy Kenny (Rick Mercer), sister Gertrude Whalen (Gerald deceased), Agnes Defabio (Allan deceased), Sisters-in-law: Catherine Crowley (Eugene) and Marion Cole (Gordan), many nephews, nieces, neighbors and friends of the Mill Road, Avondale. Charlie worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for the majority of his career. He travelled to many parts of the island and Labrador as a member of the Boilermakers. He met many people through his work. He always had a story to tell you about what he saw, did or who he knew from his past. We will miss you Dad with all our hearts. Love you and Mom forever. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 2 pm – 4 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Conception Harbour, on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:30 am with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
