Chester John Stapleton

STAPLETON Chester Chester John Stapleton, passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by his parents: Vincent and Sarah Stapleton; sisters: Phyllis Stapleton, and Betty Wardle. Leaving to mourn with fond memories his wife Mercedes; daughters: Trina Stapleton (DJ Piercey), Holly Stapleton; grandchildren whom he adored and who adored Poppy: Dawson, Nathan, and his little princess Danica; siblings: Isabel (Tom), Patricia (Gene), Anne (Ed), Vincent (Nora), and Gertie (Garnet). As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews’ other relatives and friends. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and support staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their compassionate care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Funeral will be held at the Barrett’s Chapel at 4:30 following the visitation. After the service family and friends are invited to the Barrett’s Reception Center for a time of refreshments. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Chester’s memory to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
