Clare POWER

Clare Power

POWER Clare June 20, 1925 - February 26, 2021 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Clare Power, aged 95 years young. Mom was predeceased by our Dad, Ted Power, her parents Tom and Hanna Fennessey, her brother, Monseigneur Jim Fennessey, and sisters Joan Fennessey, Mary McGee. Leaving to mourn with many happy memories are her sister Isabel Fennessey, and her ten children: Allan, Peggy Connors (Wayne), Paul, Ted, Gerry (Carol Ann), Chris (Donna), Craig (Kristine), Susan Tobin (Norm), Jim (Dianne), Gord (Donna) and her grandchildren: Jennifer, Heather, Mark, Maria, Ashley, Christina and Kim, Anna, Lauren, Liam, Joel and Katie, Justin and Vanessa, and twelve great grandchildren. Mom lived a full and busy life in a home full of friends and family. Raising a family of ten children was no small feat. She had a great sense of humor, a warm heart, and made three meals for dinner for us to choose from for supper every night! Some say she had to as we often brought our friends home for supper to share a meal. She looked after all of us, our friends, our pets, and she and dad’s friends who visited often. Mom was an avid bridge player and could put out both a meal and great game of bridge on a Friday night. She played in international bridge tournaments with Dad, traveling the world and catching a game wherever they could in various cities. She was also a very religious person who made sure we never missed mass on Sundays, making us take our friends if they happened to be over. She loved the heat and traveling to warm climates, and if she couldn't get away, the heat in the house made up for it; allowing her to grow oranges! We love you Mom, and will miss you forever
