Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, January 21, 2019, Clem Yetman, age 89 years. Predeceased by his wife Alfreda (2013); son Robert (1986); parents Robert and Elizabeth (Starkes); brother Reginald; sister Mildred; sister and brother-in-law: Emily and Gerry Harvey; sister and brother-in-law: Annie and Mike Smart; and parents-in-law: Samuel and Mahala Marsh. Leaving with precious memories daughter Linda (Harry Blackmore); sons: David (Angele) and Scott (Karen); grandchildren: Dana Holloway (Harold Banfield), Cindy Sheppard and Alex Yetman; great-grandson Robert; as well as a large circle of cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of HSC 5 South B Unit for the compassion and care shown to Clem during the past three weeks, to the nurses and staff of Meadowcreek Retirement Centre for providing such wonderful care and assistance to Clem throughout the past year, and a special thank you to Denise Cahill (Nurse Practitioner) of the Ross Family Medicine Centre for providing many years of guidance and medical care to Clem. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, January 23, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Thursday, January 24, from 2-4 pm. A memorial service will take place at Wesley United Church, Patrick Street, on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 11 am, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clem’s memory may be made to the Autism Society of NL.
