Cyril met his wife Rhoda while living and working in Cambridge. They moved to Bell Island in the early 70s and worked and raised their family. Cyril was a sheet metal worker by trade until his retirement about 16 years ago. He worked on many of the larger construction projects in the province such as Hibernia and spoke often of the friends and coworkers he had spent his days beside. Anyone who met him acknowledged his tangible presence, fairness, and friendliness. We will remember his stories and advice because he was an example of a life well lived. His wisdom and insight is instilled in all who knew him. Our memories, both spoken aloud and whispered in our own hearts will keep him alive forever. He contributed so much to this world and will be missed so much more than words can say. We would like to give appreciation and love to Tina Gosse (Todd) and special niece Cathy (Bob) for taking such wonderful care of Cyril over the last few years and months. Also, thank you and much gratitude to any and all friends, family, and healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, pcas, and homecare workers who provided care, and compassion. He was at ease and comfortable until the end. Cremation has taken place. A double memorial for both Cyril and his late wife Rhoda will be held on a future date which is to be determined.
