Cyril George Pye

It is with great sadness that the family of Cyril George Pye announce his passing at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 at the age of 83. Cyril is predeceased by his parents, John and Lela Pye; and brothers: Bert and John. Forever loved and remembered by his precious wife of 58 years, Doris; his children: Stephen (Debbie), David (Lynn), Paula (Blaine Pearce), Renee (Ian Crewe); his grandchildren: Adam, Andrew, Emily, Christian, Curtis, Andrew, Ally, Daniel and Matthew; sisters: Helen (Ed O’Brien), Elva Parsons, Nona (Ron Norton), Verna Greening, Margie (Bill Jeans), Yvonne (Alex Noseworthy); sister-in-law, Lynn Pye; his brothers: Reg (Betty) and Paul (Nellie); as well as a wonderful circle of family and friends. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, December 19th, 2018, from the hours of 1-4pm and 6-9pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Craigmillar Avenue, on Thursday, December 20th, at 1:00pm with a private inurnment to follow. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
