DRAKE David Joseph It is with broken hearts that the family of the late David Joseph Drake announce his passing. David passed peacefully away on Sunday, July 21st, 2019, after a brief illness in the presence of his family at home at the age of 86. Predeceased by his darling daughter Mabel Macpherson (Jan 2019); parents: David and Mabel (Molloy); brothers: Michael, Patrick, Thomas and William Drake and sister Eileen Hodder. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Lydia (Tarrant) of 65 years; his special grandson Leigh; sons: Tom (Juanita), Fred (Barbara), Norm (Sonya); daughters: Ruby, Nicholette (Kevin Hillier), Karen (Paul Brake); special son-in-law Douglas Macpherson; sister-in-law Madeline Drake; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, his precious fur babies: Mindy and Cocoa and a large circle of friends and former co-workers. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Visitation Monday, July 22nd 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Tuesday, July 23rd 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral to be held at St. Peter’s Parish, Ashford Drive, Mount Pearl, on Wednesday, July 24th at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Topsail R.C. Cemetery.
