David Kavanagh

David Kavanagh, originally of Carbonear, NL, passed suddenly away in the arms of his loving daughter on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in St. John’s, at the too young age of 58. David was a proud member and brother of the Boilermakers Local 146 out of Edmonton, AB for more than twenty years. Predeceased by parents Felix and Mary Kavanagh, lifelong friend Russell Oates, grandparents on both sides, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Leaving to mourn his cherished daughter, Candice Kavanagh and her mother Elaine McDonald, St. John’s, NL. Brothers; Terry (Jackie), Mount Pearl, NL and Patrick (Charmaine), Carbonear, NL; Sister; Cathy Fearn (Matt) Penticton, BC. Beloved nephew Colin Kavanagh, Mount Pearl, NL. Nieces Avalon Fearn, Penticton, BC and Sarah Nash (Bertram), Calgary, AB. Special friend Darcy Lens, Shellbrook, SK, along with many friends and relatives too numerous to name. David’s family will be accepting visitors at Slade’s Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear on Wednesday, February 14th, from 2-9 P.M. with Mass and inurnment to follow at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, February 15th at 10:30 a.m. A celebration of David’s life will be held this summer at a date to be determined, in his hometown of Carbonear. At this time, the family asks that anyone who has photos of David, please pass along copies.
