David Stapleton

STAPLETON David Michae l Of St. John’s, age 43 years, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2019 after a brief battle with a glioblastoma. Survived by partner, Semra Foster, and their three boys, Ilyas, Ayzek and Leo, parents, Paul and Susan (Kennedy) Stapleton, sisters, Lynn Stapleton and Andrea Stapleton (Jeff Keats), and their two boys, Adam and Noah, a large extended family and many friends, including Justin Merdsoy of St. John’s, and Sean Lefebvre, and his Alberta mother, Helen Lefebvre, of Calgary. With a hearty laugh and an infectious smile, Dave will be fondly remembered for his kind and generous spirit. He was the Salt of the Earth. The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the cancer treatment teams in Calgary, St. John’s, Clarenville and Bonavista for their outstanding guidance and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John’s, and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Calgary. Cremation has occurred and a private service will be held at a future date.
