Derek David Williams

Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Born on February 5, 1947 in St. John's, he was the son of the late Walter and Loretta (nee Dinn). Leaving with fond and precious memories are his wife Diane (nee Gray); children Derek (Kelly), Karen and Michael (Julia); grandchildren Grace and Jack; siblings Richard (Audrey), Bernard (Sonya), Randy (Delphine), Walter (Shirley), Robert, Jeanette, Kevin, along with a large circle of extended family and those who considered Derek a friend. A special expression of thanks is extended to Betty and Ed Donovan, David and Karen Gray, Larry and Joanne Gray along with the staff of the L.A. Miller Centre. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, located at 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11 am - 9 pm. A service giving thanks for the gift of Derek’s life will be celebrated from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:30 am.
